Meet Joy Renee
Joy Renee is cast as Marisol Dawson in Melanin Envy Magik.
Joy Renee is an actress and writer born and raised in Queens, NY. She was recently featured in the Negro Ensemble Company's production of Mecca is Burning, which was nominated for an AUDELCO. Joy has worked in several other staged productions this year, including Ishmael Reed's The Conductor and The Last Block Association with the Black Spectrum Theater. Joy Renee has a deep passion for the arts and believes that artists have a great responsibility to reflect the times through our craft. She is so grateful to be a part of the Melanin Envy Magik family!
