Nadia Simmons

My name is Nadia Simmons and I am from The Bronx. Im currently a Junior at Montclair State University, majoring in Dance. Reaching for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I’ve been dancing since the age of four and been professionally trained in many styles of dance such as Ballet, Modern, Tap, West African dance as well as Hip Hop. Dance is my outlet and can be so healing and therapeutic in my eyes.

I enjoy creating, as well as being apart of my peers visual/projects to help there visions grow and come to life! Ive been apart of “the Panorama” at The Martha Graham Dance school and also did an internship with the Paul Taylor dance company and was apart of their program called “the Teen Taylor ensemble”. Those two plus more really makes my dance journey so special to me with connecting to so much great individuals and getting such good training from these teachers/choreographers.
